Troubleshooting Blank or Black Screen

NotesNote: You will need access to the inside of the kiosk to perform these steps.

Possible Cause: No Power to the Computer

  1. Touch the Screen
    Confirm that the screen is not responsive before proceeding to further steps.

  2. Ensure the Kiosk is Plugged In
    Verify that the kiosk is securely connected to a power outlet.

  3. Check the Computer’s Power Indicator Light
    The power indicator light is usually located on or near the power button. Depending on the model of your computer, the light can give you key information:

    • If the light is off: Press the Power Button.
    • If the light is solid green, but the screen remains blank or black, proceed to the next section labeled No Power to the Monitor.
    • If the light is flashing red, make note of the flashing sequence and contact DynaTouch Customer Support
  4. Verify the Power Strip Inside the Kiosk

    • Ensure that the power strip is powered on.
    • Check that the computer is plugged into both the power cord and the power strip.
    • Confirm the power strip is functioning properly.



Possible Cause: No Power to the Monitor

  1. Check the Monitor's Power Light

    • If the light is off, press the Power Button.
    • If the monitor does not turn on after pressing the button, proceed to the next step.
    • If the light is solid green, but the screen remains blank or black, contact DynaTouch Customer Support.
  2. Secure the Cables
    Ensure all cables between the monitor and the computer are securely connected.

  3. Verify the Monitor’s Power Connection
    Ensure that the power cord is plugged into both the monitor and the power strip.

  4. Still No Display?
    If the issue persists, contact DynaTouch Customer Support for further assistance.
