Other Considerations
Optimal Screen Saver Resolution
For the best display quality, ensure your screen saver files match the resolution of your kiosk’s primary display. Using correctly sized images and videos prevents distortion, cropping, or black borders.
If you are unsure of your kiosk’s screen resolution:
- Open TIPS Kiosk Manager and navigate to Screen Settings.
- Locate the width and height (in pixels) of your display.

Standard kiosk resolutions:
- Portrait-oriented monitors: 1080 × 1920 pixels
- Landscape-oriented monitors: 1280 × 1024 pixels
TIPS Screensaver supports the following file formats:
- Static Images: JPG, PNG
- HTML Documents: HTML
- Videos: MKV, MP4, MPG, AVI
File Size Limitations:
- Compression: For large media files, consider compressing images and videos to reduce load times without compromising quality.
- File Naming: Use clear, descriptive file names to make managing multiple screen savers easier (e.g., Company_Logo_1920x1080.png).
- Consistency: Ensure all images and videos follow a consistent aspect ratio to maintain a professional, polished look across kiosks.
