Troubleshooting Unresponsive Kiosk Input Devices
Screen Displays an Image, but No Response from Keyboard or Touch Screen
Possible Cause: System Frozen
If the system is unresponsive to both the keyboard and touchscreen, it may be frozen.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Note: You will need to gain access to the inside of the kiosk.
Restart the Computer:
- Open the kiosk.
- Press and hold the computer's Power Button for 3 seconds or until the system powers off.
- Wait 10 seconds, then press the Power Button again to restart the computer.
Still Not Working?
- If the system does not restart or the issue persists, contact DynaTouch Customer Support for further assistance.
Possible Cause: Defective Touch Controller
If the screen is responsive to the keyboard and rollerball but not to touch input, the touch controller may be defective.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Touch Controller Replacement:
- Contact DynaTouch Customer Support for further assistance with replacing the touch controller.
Possible Cause: Keyboard and/or Rollerball Lost Connection
This issue may occur if the keyboard and/or rollerball have become disconnected from the system.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Note: You will need to gain access to the inside of the kiosk.
Check USB Connections:
- Open the kiosk and ensure all USB cables, especially those for the keyboard and rollerball, are securely connected.
