Troubleshooting Unresponsive Kiosk Input Devices

Screen Displays an Image, but No Response from Keyboard or Touch Screen

Possible Cause: System Frozen
If the system is unresponsive to both the keyboard and touchscreen, it may be frozen.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Note: You will need to gain access to the inside of the kiosk.
  1. Restart the Computer:
    • Open the kiosk.
    • Press and hold the computer's Power Button for 3 seconds or until the system powers off.
    • Wait 10 seconds, then press the Power Button again to restart the computer.
  2. Still Not Working?
    • If the system does not restart or the issue persists, contact DynaTouch Customer Support for further assistance.



Screen Displays an Image, Responds to Keyboard and Rollerball, but Not to Touch Input

Possible Cause: Defective Touch Controller
If the screen is responsive to the keyboard and rollerball but not to touch input, the touch controller may be defective.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Touch Controller Replacement:
    • Contact DynaTouch Customer Support for further assistance with replacing the touch controller.



Screen Responds to Touch Input, but Not to Keyboard or Rollerball

Possible Cause: Keyboard and/or Rollerball Lost Connection
This issue may occur if the keyboard and/or rollerball have become disconnected from the system.

    • Open the kiosk and ensure all USB cables, especially those for the keyboard and rollerball, are securely connected.
